I opened up with 7.70 in the heats, and then dropped the time down to 7.608 (rounding up to 7.61) in the finals.
Friday was Valentine's day, and on my way to the track I'd tweeted "All I want for Valentine's is a new PB" and I got it! Pretty perfect. It was also awesome to run on home turf so that my cousin and another friend could come watch. The time of 7.61s got me a spot on U of T's Top 12 list, which is nice. I'll be looking to improve on this time, and my spot on the Top 12 list, in the coming weeks at OUAs and CIS'.
Coming up this weekend is OUAs, held at York University. There will be live streaming available via Trackie.com. The schedule and results are here.
I'll have a busy 24hrs competing in the 60m (heats) and 300m on Friday evening, and on Saturday there is the 60m (semis and finals if all goes well), and 4x200m and 4x400m relays. Like I said, a busy 24hrs.
Wish me luck!
