Well, I flew into Moncton, New Brunswick yesterday for the 2014 Canadian Track and Field Championships. We arrived to grey skies and rain, and it is the same today. It is supposed to clear up for tomorrow - fingers crossed it does.
We did a warm up on the indoors track yesterday so we were able to stay dry. Then, last night, I went for dinner with a friend of mine from Victoria who lives here now. Since I was raised next to the ocean, I wanted to make sure I made it to the Atlantic ocean while I was here so we went to Parlee Beach Provincial Park. As we were driving there, the sun started coming out. We pulled into the park as one of the most beautiful sunsets was starting. I took lots of pics! I lived on the North Shore of New Brunswick for a summer after high school, but I'd forgotten how incredible the sunsets are here.
Anyways.. as for track - today, I'm headed to the track to do a pre-race workout. The 400m semis are tomorrow, Friday, June 27th at 5:45pm AST (which is 4:45pm EST or 1:45pm PST), and the 400m finals are Saturday, June 28th at 11:50 am AST (which is 10:50am EST or 7:50am PST). The good news is that the entire Championships are being streamed online so you can watch the action from anywhere!
The Time is Now.
